A MEMU (mobile energy monitoring unit)is an independent standalone MM&T (Metering Monitor & Targeting) system containing everything required to monitor & record energy use remotely. The monitored data is transmitted to a dedicated Web Portal via GSM technology and stored for user access and reporting purposes on our dedicated Web-Based Bureau.

The standard unit for a commercial air handling unit (AHU) is set up to monitor -
- Supply Motor energy
- Pre Filter Pressure
- Secondary Filter Pressure
- Supply Air Velocity / Volume
The data collected is then transmitted to our dedicated information web portal from which the data can be gathered and analysed to provide the following -
- Supply Fan Motor energy use
- Running times (night and weekend setback)
- Filter change prediction – change cost vs postponed change
- AHU faults failures – immediate notifications via email, SMS text
- Provides data to identify energy saving opportunities
- Data Comparisons – pressure/volume/power

Optional Extra’s
Yearly Service Packs are available to provide regular reports, fault monitoring / notification and problem solving. The following 4 levels of service are available -
- Bronze - 1 x Year End Energy Report, Alarm Alerts, Alarm Support.
- Silver - 2 x Energy Reports (half year and year end), Alarm Alerts, Alarm Support.
- Gold – 4 x Quarterly Energy Reports, Alarm Alerts, Alarm Support.
- Platinum – 12 x Monthly Energy Reports, Energy Trending, Alarm Alerts, Alarm Support.
Annual SIM and Web hosting
After 2 years the SIM and web hosting will need to be renewed if required. This can be purchased on a year by year basis as required. Cost for this can be provided by contacting us.
Additional Sensors
The MEMU can be upgraded with additional sensors to monitor the following -
- Additional Energy Meter – To monitor extract motor energy
- Temperature / Humidity sensor – coil duties, supply & return air conditions
- Pressure Sensor – to monitor 3rd filtration stage
- Vibration Sensor – to monitor motor / fan wear
Please note the standard MEMU is limited to 8 sensor inputs (not including the energy meter) so is limited to 5 extra sensors.
Expansion modules are available if required. Cost for this can be provided by contacting us.
Delivery / Installation
We offer a Delivery only or full installation (advised). Installation is offered worldwide however the prices listed are for UK only. Please contact us for non UK installations.
Installation is subject to the following conditions -
- Clear and unrestricted access for 1 Day
- Access equipment available (ladders etc)
- 2 x single phase local sockets available.
- Site electrician to be available for safe isolation – this for CT installation
